The Spina Bifida statistics for Pennsylvania are as follows: In Pennsylvania 3.25 babies out of 10,000 babies are affected with this medical condition. The data was collected  during the years 2001-2002. The data shows that there has been an increase in the number of babies who are born with this birth defect when compared to the previous period.

Around 4,059 people are residing in the state of Pennsylvania with this health issue. The state has 4 million women who are in the family way and some are risk of giving birth to babies born with this medical problem. The number of people who are Hispanic origin is 5 percent of the population or only 600,000 (which has a higher risk of being affected with SB).

The state of Pennsylvania has ten Spina Bifida clinics, hospitals and doctors. Three SB clinics are located in Philadelphia and two SB clinics are present in Pittsburgh. Other SB clinics are located in Hershey, Erie, Danville, Allentown, and Elkins Park. The SB Association of the Delaware Valley is responsible for offering aid and support services in the state.
