The Spina Bifida statistics for Oregon are as follows: In this state the number of babies having this medical problem has not been tracked. Around 1.2 million women are due to give birth in the state and many are at high risk of having babies born with this medical condition. In the state of Oregon 11 percent of the population which equals 416,906 people is of Hispanic origin (Hispanics traditionally are at higher risk of SB).
There are three Spina Bifida clinics, hospitals and doctors who are in the state of Oregon that provide help and services to patients affected with this health issue. Two SB clinics can be found in Portland and one SB clinic is present in Eugene. The SB clinic which is located at the Oregon Health and Sciences University is the registry point for patients with SB.
The SB Association of Oregon Support Group is responsible for offering resources in the state. However there are currently no support groups in this state.
