The Spina Bifida statistics for Nebraska are as follows: In the state 6.69 babies out of 10,000 births are affected with this medical condition. The data was collected during the years of 2001-2005. The data has shown an increase in the number of SB cases in the state. An estimated 1,193 people are living in Nebraska affected with this birth defect.
Around 551,000 women are due to give birth in the state and some are all at high risk of delivering babies with SB. The population of Hispanic origin is 8 percent which makes up 142,674 people (which has a higher risk of being affected with SB).
Our research has shown that there are three Spina Bifida clinics, hospitals and doctors that are present in the state of Nebraska. They are all located in Omaha. There is a camp for children in Nebraska that provide extra-curricular activities for children.
