In the state, around 1.6 million women are at high risk of giving birth to babies born with this medical condition. In the state of Minnesota, 4 percent of the population, which equals 208,815 people, is of Hispanic origin, which has a higher risk of being affected with SB.
The state of Minnesota has six Spina Bifida clinics, hospitals and doctors. Two SB clinics are found in St. Paul, while two SB clinics are located in Minneapolis. One SB clinic is located at Rochester and the other SB clinic is found at St. Louis. The SB Association of Minnesota offers aid and help to those affected with this health issue in the state.
