The data is based on the figures that were collected during the years, 2001-2004. In the state of Connecticut, an estimated 1,012 people have been diagnosed with this health issue.
Today there are 1.1 million pregnant women who are at risk of delivering babies affected with this medical problem. Around 12 percent of the population, that is, 420,183 people in Connecticut are made up of Hispanic origin. Two SB clinics are located in Connecticut which provide health care to patients having SB.
There is one Spina Bifida clinic or hospital in New Haven and one clinic in Hartford which provide assistance to SB affected patients. In Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, a registration center is present for patients having this health problem.
