The Spina Bifida statistics for Arizona are as follows: As per the data collected in the state of Arizona, about 3.84 babies out of 10,000 births are born with Spina Bifida. The data was collected during the period of 2001-2005. Today an estimated 2,496 people having this health issue reside in Arizona. There are estimated about 1.9 million women who are of childbearing age in this state.
They are at a high risk of delivering babies born with this health problem. People of Hispanic origin who are at more risk of SB, make up around 30 percent of the population in the state. That equals about 1.95 million Hispanic people in the state. In Arizona, clinics and support groups have been formed to help and provide assistance to those affected with Spina Bifida.
The state of Arizona has two Spina Bifida clinics and doctors: one is in Tucson and one is in Phoenix. Both of these clinics offer help adults and children with Spina Bifida. The SB Association of Arizona is in charge of giving assistance to the state.
